Do I need an Australian Business Number to work as a locum on the HeyLucy! platform?
To work in Australia as an allied health locum you need to have a current ABN. For all information regarding acquiring an ABN you can head to the Australian governments ABN website:
https://www.abr.gov.au/business-super-funds-charities/applying-abn . Alternatively, you may also wish to talk to your registered accountant for advice regarding your unique circumstances.
Broadly speaking you will need to understand the following categories to complete your onboarding process with HeyLucy!:
Are you registered as a sole-trader? OR Are you registered as a company? AND Are you registered for GST?
Once you have a registered ABN, you will understand how to answer the above questions. You will then answer these questions in the HeyLucy! onboarding process. You will also provide your ABN and we will verify it within your profile.
